With over a million persons with disabilities living and working within
the City of Los Angeles, it was time for a program focusing on individuals
with disabilities, disability-related issues, and the Department on Disability.
On July 26, 2005, the 15th anniversary of the signing into law the Americans
with Disabilities Act, LA Cityview 35 debuted such a program. Disability
Forum, hosted by longtime City employee, Mitch Pomerantz, is a 30-minute look into the issues affecting persons with disabilities and the department responsible for keeping those issues at the forefront of the consciousness of City officials.
