This series introduces our viewers to the diverse cultural events produced by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, such as festivals, programs for youth, exhibits and performances, the Cultural Heritage Commission, public arts, murals, music, and grants. The show is taped at various cultural and historical sites throughout the City of Los Angeles in an effort to "introduce Los Angeles to itself." Each program highlights an "L.A. Treasure," a person who has made considerable artistic impact on the City's arts community. A calendar of events and commentary by the Cultural Affairs Department general manager are also included.
